My Story was Stolen by Pakistani Writer for ‘Mera Naseeb’; Indian Author

Indian-American author Chitra B Divakaruni claims that the popular Pakistani drama serial ‘Mera Naseeb’ has been stolen from her novel ‘Sister of My Heart’. The hit Pakistani drama is currently being aired on Indian channel ‘Zindagi’.

Chitra B Divakaruni is known for her widely acclaimed novels like ‘Mistress of Spices’, ‘Palace of Illusions’ and ‘Sister of My Heart’.

According to Indian media report the author said, “The story of my novel ‘Sister of My Heart’ was stolen by Pakistani writer Samira Fazal and made into the TV drama ‘Mera Naseeb’ which is now showing on Zindagi TV in India without my permission. I am extremely upset at this copyright infringement”.

Drama ‘Mera Naseeb’ has been scripted by Samira Fazal and she has won an award for its screenplay. ‘Mera Naseeb’ was first aired on the Pakistani channel ‘Hum’ in 2011.

The picture quality is perfect - there geo news live appears to be no signal compression so the picture looks exactly as it would if my antenna was directly connected to my TV.
